The aim of East Marsh Community Trust is to relieve poverty, hardship and distress among people and households in North East Lincolnshire and its surrounding areas through the provision of low cost furniture and household goods.
As an Advice/Admin Assistant you will work closely with and be supervised by the Community Advice Service Manager.
You must always carry out duties in compliance with East Marsh Community Trust Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
Your role as an Advice/Administration Assistant will include the following tasks;
- Provide a professional, polite and efficient customer service to all out customers and partner organisations
- Operate computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Operate office facilities such as printers, photocopiers and telephones
- Maintain accurate records and statistics
- Liaise and work closely with management and staff to ensure efficient administrative support throughout our day-to-day operations
- Support Community Advice staff members including other volunteers and placements within our Community Advice department
- Use good organisational skills throughout the day to provide efficient working practices
- Learn and use in-house filing systems and practices
- Handle receipts, payments, invoicing and cash
- Ensure the office and area is kept clean and fit for use at all times
- Have an understanding of and commitment to the aims, objectives and potential development of Community Advice Service
- Liaise and work closely with the Community Advice Manager and the Training and Volunteer Coordinator
Supervision
You may be required to supervise the work of other volunteers/placements as part of your role. Direct reporting to the Community Advice Manager is required.
