The aim in North East Lincolnshire and its surrounding areas through the provision of low cost furniture and household goods.

 

As a Retail/Customer Service you will work under the direction and be responsible to the Home Shop Supervisor.

 

You MUST carry out duties in compliance with East Marsh Community Trust Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.

 

Your role as a Retail/Customer Service Assistant at the Home Shop will include the following tasks;

 

  • To provide a professional, polite and efficient customer service to all our customers and partner organisations
  • Be aware of the Health and Safety requirements of the shop
  • Clean and prepare furniture for sale
  • Display stock in the best possible way to maximise customer interest
  • Book in collections and deliveries for customers via the telephone or in person
  • Filing of forms and schedules
  • Photocopy documents ensuring day to day documents are available when required
  • Ensure visitors to the Home Shop or CAS sign in and out
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Deal with all transactions (handling receipts, payments and cash) efficiently and honestly
  • Actively promote the Home Shop through effective Customer Service
  • Promote recycling and re-use, bringing a positive attitude towards the promotion of Community Chest
  • Liaise and work closely with the Home Shop Supervisor and Training Coordinator

 

Supervision

The role has no responsibilities for the supervision of others. To provide team leadership experience you may be asked to lead a team for a short period of time or for a given task under the supervision of the Home Shop Supervisor or other member of Staff.
